Hirse Porridge – lecker und gehaltvoll

Dieses Porridge ist aufgrund der Trockenfrüchte, des Mandelmus und des Kokosöls ernährend und kräftigend.

Ingredients for two people:

  • 10 almonds
  • 8 cashew nuts
  • Dried fruit (e.g. 2 apricots, 2 dates, 2 figs)
  • 2 tsp. sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp. sunflower seeds
  • 2 cups water (ideally soak overnight)

add:
  • 1 tsp. turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp. cardamom powder or crush the seeds of 1-2 capsules.
  • ½ tsp. coriander seeds
  • ½ tsp. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. freshly grated ginger

Simmer an apple cut into pieces over a low flame until soft (approx. 5 min). Alternatively or additionally, other seasonal fruit is possible (pear, peach, grapes).

Add more:
  • 1 tbsp. linseed
  • 1 tbsp. chia seeds
  • 4-8 tbsp millet flakes (normal millet takes about 15 min).

Cook for another 2 minutes and serve in a bowl. It is also possible to add 1 tsp. of sesame, almond or coconut oil to the porridge.
