Detox Herbs and Their Effect (7T)

Amrutadi tablets:

They are given the evening before the laxative day (3 -5). It drains toxins and has a mild laxative effect. You will be given more tablets (sachet "No.1 evening") than you need. If you have constipation tendencies during the cure, then take three tablets before going to bed.

Artichoke extract:

The artichoke has a special effect on liver metabolism. It detoxifies and regenerates the liver and regulates fat metabolism. It also strongly stimulates the enzymes in the stomach and has a blood-forming effect.

Asfoetida:

As its name "Stinkasant" suggests, it does not smell inviting. It miraculously adds a great flavour to any legume dish. It has a very detoxifying effect (via the sulphur content) and also has a deflating and digestive effect. It is primarily used in all legume dishes.

Flohsamenschalen:

They are recommended for the recovery phase after the detox day, as psyllium is one of the best plants to stabilise and nourish the intestinal mucosa. It offers the mucous membrane a rich palette of mucilage as well as minerals such as silica and zinc. It also promotes pancreatic enzymes, binds toxins and excess cholesterol and has a mild laxative effect.

Turmeric - Curcuma

Turmeric particularly stimulates liver metabolism and thus helps the organism to detoxify toxins. It promotes the flow of bile and thus digestion and has a special effect on our immune system.

Ghee:

Is the purified butter. Through purification, ghee becomes medicine. It balances both Vata (wind) and Pitta (fire). It is good for the joints and tendons. It has a special significance in the detoxification cure, as it can penetrate deep into the tissues and bind fat-soluble toxins (herbs extracted in water bind only the water-soluble toxins).

Ginger root / ginger powder:

Ginger is the best medicine for all Vata diseases. Ginger stimulates the nerves and relieves from pain. It acts: Stimulates appetite, deflates, relieves cramps, dizziness. It purifies the blood and stimulates the heart and blood circulation and much more.

We have many different agnis (fires) in us and the ginger powder appeals to most of them (the powder is more pungent) compared to the fresh root.

Rhizinusöl:

Rhizinus oil is not generally recommended for the Detox cure, but is recommended individually after consultation. It balances too much wind energy and during the cure it is supposed to dissolve and remove toxins. It has a mild laxative effect and is also often used for spinal problems. Usually one teaspoon is taken with a sip of water before going to bed. It is helpful to add a pinch of coriander or cumin powder to the water. If you already have it at home, we can discuss this together.

Virechan tablets (detox day):

They are the main ingredient of the detox mixture on the laxative day (7th day). Traditionally they are used on this day and therefore it is also called Virechan day. They cleanse the blood of toxins and excess dosha, mainly pitta. Virechan Tbl. remove the toxins through the stool. They also correct the movement of Vata. Outside of the detoxification cure, they are used for Pitta diseases such as inflammatory skin diseases, migraine, oedema, hyperacidity, ....

Juniper berries:

Juniper berries have a stimulating effect on the digestive system. Especially on the stomach enzymes and kidney metabolism. They have a warming effect and loosen tough mucus. Juniper berries increase the elimination of harmful substances via the kidneys and are therefore ideal for increasing detoxification.
