Description as per Ayurveda
The improper life style and food habits hampers the digestion and creates excessive Aam (toxins) in the body which also vitiates the Vata (wind) in the body. As the Aam is built up in the stomach, it begins circulates throughout the body with the help of aggravated Vata dosha. Ama has the property of being sticky and heavy in nature because of which it gets trapped in the narrow channels in and around the bone as they are narrow. When this Aam with the Vitiated Vata settles around the joints and causes swelling, stiffness and severe pain in the joints causing RA.
